Cakes I've made over the years..........

As far back as I can remember I've enjoyed baking from the time I was big enough to help my Mom in the kitchen.  She encouraged my love for baking even more by signing me up with 4-H cooking classes and was even my teacher at one point.  I don't claim to be a master baker by any stretch of the imagination, but I do enjoy it none the less.  Some years ago I decided I wanted to learn the art of cake decorating.  I consider myself artistic and thought this would be a good outlet for me.  Mind you I've never taken any classes so most everything I've learned is from watching others or reading up on the internet.  Recently I starting using fondant which I have a love/hate relationship with.  I love how many different designs it allows you to come up with, but I hate how time consuming and somewhat exhausting it is to work with.  My next cake I think I'm going to try out what is called "frozen butter cream transfer".  I think it will be a lot easier than fondant but we will see.  Hope you enjoy these pics.  Kinda shows how my skills have gradually increased over the years, as well as the right tools too!  I am most definitely still learning!
